Following the express wishes of the Lord of the Victors, the glorious Kyabgon sevenenteenth Karmapa Ogyen Drodul Trinley Dorje, the Karmapa 900 Commemorative Committee <www.karmapa900.org> was established with the declaration that it would commemorate the nine hundred years that have passed since the birth of the glorious first Gyalwang Karmapa Dusum Khyenpa, great founder of the Karma Kamtsang tradition, the precious Practice Lineage.

Following this forward-thinking example, on December 8, 2010, with faith, devotion, and joy, the members of Karma Lekshey Ling in Nepal established the website <www.words-of-karmapa.org> as a digital archive specifically for housing the extant collected writings of the successive Karmapas beginning with the Supreme Victor Dusum Khyenpa.

To date we have obtained and uploaded, at least in part, the collected writings of Lord Rangjung Dorje, Gyalwang Chodrak Gyatso, Kunkhyen Mikyo Dorjé, Jetsun Wangchuk Dorjé, and Gyalwang Khakhyab Dorjé.

Furthermore, since the original texts are extremely difficult to obtain, we are sending an appeal to borrow any original texts from these collections, whether extensive or brief. We have only the purest intentions regarding the teachings of the Karmapas and have no desire whatsoever to profit by these actions.
